Version 1.0 was a static html website which started on 4 pages in 1998 and grew, and grew, and then grew a whole lot more.
After a total reorganisation of the subject matter which, after 20 years of studying the topic, took about another 2 years, I moved the Museum to the Joomla Content Management System. The vastly better navigation was also appreciated by readers. "Content Management" doesn't do it justice actually. Joomla is a powerful open-ended suite of management tools which gives an unprecedented degree of control over the presentation of content, while maintaining a strict separation between presentation and content.
