LOOP CHECKLIST
  • PERFORM HASELL CHECKS
  • ESTABLISH HEADING AND ALTITUDE
  • ESTABLISH BEST CLIMB SPEED
    The optimum speed for entry into the loop is the best climb speed.
  • PITCH UP UNTIL 3 G LOADING
    Speed is easily dissipated in the loop by harsh use of elevators.
  • THROTTLE UP TO MAINTAIN SPEED
  • MAINTAIN 3 G
    Positive G loading ensures proper engine lubrication.
  • CHECK LATERAL CONTROL
    By reference to ADI, Pitch Bars on HUD and/ or outside view of horizon.
  • CHECK HEADING
As a/c goes "over the top", inverted
  • CHECK LATERAL CONTROL
  • CHECK HEADING
  • THROTTLE DOWN TO MAINTAIN CONSTANT SPEED
  • LEVEL OUT
  • NOTE ALTITUDE
